By Trish Swain The AGM in April was well attended and Richard Waller gave us much to think about as he mused on life in the Chilterns and Aylesbury ducks… ably assisted by the hours-old ducklings he brought along. We heard of the difficulties of dealing with bureaucracy, the tricks the old breeders got up to and the exploits of ‘Jennifer the hen’ (star mouse catcher) among other tales. Don’t forget Cream Teas on Sunday 17th June (the day after the Church Fête) from 3-5 pm and ‘At Your Request’ on Sunday 1st July. Glenys Groves and Gordon Cumming are already receiving some interesting requests. Mail your request direct to Glenys at glenys.groves@dsl.pipex.com. Tickets are available from 837752 or any committee member. Cream Teas on Sun 22nd July (after the Flower Show, 3-5 pm). |
