Old church Old Church cream teas
By Charlotte Reynolds

Summer is around the corner and with it the cream tea season! Starting on Sunday 1st June, The Old Church will be the perfect place to start all those New Year resolutions:
Start walking – up the church path
Eat more healthily – home-made cakes
Get to know your neighbours – they will probably be there.
So what is your excuse?
Every Sunday throughout June, July and August, from 3pm until 5pm, cream teas will be served in the The Lee Old Church..

All the tea, coffee and sugar served will be ‘Fairtrade’. The cakes are freshly baked, bursting with cream, chocolate and other wickedly seductive fillings! Scones are straight from the oven and properly dressed with generous amounts of jam and cream.

Bring a picnic rug, bring a book, or bring a friend or two. We cannot promise the sunshine, but we can guarantee a very warm welcome. Who could resist?

The season will end on 24th August in grand style with an event hosted by Richard Grylls and his troop of musical minstrels.

As usual at the end, a plea – these teas are arranged, baked and served entirely by very kind volunteers of all ages, and as usual we always need more of you. If you would like to make a cake or a scone or two, or even to help one Sunday, please, please do let me know tel. 01494 793221. Thank you.
