Lee Common School

By Annie Smith

The weather was kind to us on the morning of the 1st May; the rain held off, enabling the children to dance around the Maypole outdoors and turning the school playground into a very colourful spectacle!

Our sincere thanks go to the wonderful Mrs Dean for her time and enthusiasm in teaching the children, who all had great fun and looked very pleased with themselves on the day. We also appreciate the support of everyone who stayed for tea and coffee and who purchased books, jewellery and cards in support of school funds. The Master of Ceremonies and the May Queen pictured were voted for by all of the children in the school, as being the kindest boy and girl in year 2.

We had a very successful Bluebell Walk despite heavy rainfall before setting off. Hot Dogs and cakes went down extremely well afterwards and boosted school funds.

The school’s Footsteps travel programme is underway. Parent volunteers have been undergoing training by Bucks County Council in pedestrian skills, which they will now begin teaching to the children in groups of two.
We are pleased to report the results of the recent admissions criteria consultation and we are now able to offer full-time education, starting in September for all children.

Please continue to visit and support the LCSA’s website at www.leecommonpta.org.
If you regularly order on line from M & S, Amazon or other leading retailers, the school will benefit if you order via www.buy.at/LCSA.

Thank you for your support.
