Thank you to everyone who came and supported us with all our various activities last term. We were extremely busy!
The Christmas Fair was a great success and raised over £2,000 – we are still waiting confirmation of the final figure. Before that we had the Christmas Play, when the children performed brilliantly in The Hopeless Camel. The retiring collection from their three performances raised £131.97 and has gone to support the valuable work of the Marine Conservation Society. We have ‘adopted’ three turtles – green, loggerhead and leatherback – and are looking forward to finding out more about them during this year. The remaining money was put towards costumes and resources for future Christmas plays.
Thank you also to those of you who came to support us at the Church for our Christmas Service. We were very grateful to the Reverend Nigel Coke-Woods from the Methodist Church for stepping in during David’s illness to lead the service. We hope you enjoyed getting to know him too.
This term we have three Graduate Teacher Students joining us for their school placement. We are proud to support these students as they work through their Graduate Teacher Programme.
We are also delighted to announce that Mrs Sally Palmer has joined the School Governing Body as a Community Governor.
