On the 19th March at 2:30pm Ballinger Hall will be taken over by two spontaneous university students... and lots of families who would like to have some fun to help them raise money for Childreach International.
Childreach International is a brilliant charity that currently works in seven developing countries. They work in partnership with the local communities to help improve child rights and protection and access to education and health care.
Let me explain how I got involved. Just before Christmas my friend Bex told me she had just signed up to a trip to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro on the 6th July to raise money for Childreach International. Being stuck in the middle of trying to write a masters assignment it sounded like a brilliant idea and so literally the next day I signed myself up and thought how hard can it be to raise £2500?!
This is where you come in... if you would like to help me reach my target (or hopefully go beyond) then come and have some fun on the afternoon of the 19th March. Bex and I are running a family quiz where there will be plenty of questions and games testing brains of all ages and a brilliant prize for the winning team! Family tickets can be purchased for £20 (includes 4 people, at least 1 adult) or individual tickets are £7, drinks and children’s tea will be provided, we will also be holding a cake sale and raffle.
All profits raised will go directly to the charity and none will be funding our trip. If you would like to find out more, purchase a ticket or make a cake please contact me or Judy Hart on either 01494 837328 or
If you would like to sponsor Bex or me directly our ‘giving’ pages are:
