As I return to the role of editor this month, I am struck by the need to lighten the gloom that is now almost universal. The news is full of disasters – Japan, New Zealand, Australia and the Middle East – need I say more? Nearer to home we have HS2 and government cutbacks etc.
However, once again our contributors have risen to the challenge as, this month, we can demonstrate that residents of The Lee have not lost their sense of humour despite the serious issues that continue to confront us. In this edition we have news of The Lee Church Fête and, this month’s highlight, our Royal Wedding Picnic!
Next month the editorial role reverts to Viv Robins. Please send your contributions to firstname.lastname@example.org or hard copy to Viv at Crocketts, Lee Common by 12th April.
