old church Church concert puts the fizz into summer
By the Old Church Trust Committee

Who needs Glyndebourne? Summer hits a high note this June, as The-Lee Old Church Trust proudly presents a very special summer concert with a little operatic something for everyone on Saturday 11th June at 7:00 pm.

Our guest stars for the evening will be the Amos Ensemble led by Olwen Morris on piano, with soprano Anna Ramell, bass Stuart Fordyce, Stephen Morris on ’cello and Tiery Deneux on classical guitar. Together they will recreate the songs and sounds of summer from opera, the Auvergne and the romantic French ’cello for your delectation. Then as the last notes fade away on the warm evening breeze you’ll be able to enjoy strawberries and cream, accompanied by a glass of sparkling rosé, in the grounds of The-Lee Old Church.

Tickets are £15 each, including the bubbles and ’berries. But if you want to be sure of your seats for this very special event, you’ll need to get in fast. Call Pam Garner on 837501 or Jilly Carleton-Smith on 837205 now.
