The LeeWay Help Group was set up three months ago. Its aim is to provide support, in an informal and friendly way, to those villagers who need some help. This help could be, for example, a home visit, a car-ride to the doctor, hospital or shops, collecting shopping or a prescription, etc.
The LeeWay now has 30 volunteers who are willing to provide this sort of support in the village. So far, the volunteers have responded to over 30 requests for help.
We would like to hear from members of the parish who need some assistance and have not yet made contact. The LeeWay scheme exists to help you, so just give us a call. There is no charge for the time of the volunteers, but a nominal donation is expected when a car is used.
If you would like some help or, if you are interested in joining the volunteer group, please contact 837177.
