newlsettersAn inspirational evening
From The Lee Old Church Trust Committee

Here at The Lee Old Church, over the years we’ve treated you to music, entertainment and edification. Now we’re bringing you something completely different… inspiration.

On Saturday 25th April at 7:30 pm, South Heath resident Tony Harris will be with us to share his journey through adversity and challenge to unbelievable achievement.

In a talk full of passion, sorrow, determination and, most importantly, humour, Tony will cover his combat operations in war-torn Iraq and Afghanistan – the politics, the casualties, the courage and the fear.

Tony will also touch on how he overcame the injuries he received on the battlefield and how he’s taken adventure to another level, pushing himself to complete inspiring mission after inspiring mission.

Those extreme challenges include becoming part of the first disability team to race in the gruelling and infamous Dakar rally; scaling a mountain and proudly representing Great Britain in the Invictus Games – launched last year by Prince Harry. Oh, and along the way he’s made the time to raise over £300,000 for charity.

Tickets for this special and uplifting evening are £15 each, including wine and canapés. To book yours in advance, call Pam Garner on 837501 or Jilly Carleton-Smith on 837205.
