WINTER SALTING: 2009-10
Good news: contrary to reports in The Newsletter, which were based on inaccurate information, all the roads in The Lee which qualified for gritting last year
are included in the list again this year.

POLICE - ALERT!!
There was an attempted distraction burglary in Lee Common at around 2.30pm on Friday 23rd October. A young male knocked on the door saying his football had gone into the occupants garden and could he get it. He asked the occupant to go with him but the person said No and waited inside. An older male then let himself into the house and when he saw the occupant made some excuse about checking the lady was OK. Both males then left. No one was hurt and nothing was stolen.

Mondays to Fridays: 7.00 a.m. until 5.30 p.m.
Saturdays: 7.00 a.m. until 1.00 p.m.
Sundays: 7.00 a.m. until 12.00 noon

District Council Refuse and Recycling collection timetable
It appears that the original information distributed by the District Council to households, setting out the timetable for the collection of refuse and re-cycleable waste may have been misleading. Most houses have now been re-issued with an up-to-date leaflet.
